This past week I had the opportunity to attend the National College of DUI Defense’s 14th Annual DUI Seminar in Nevada. I have only one word to describe my experience: Incredible.
Over the course of three days I had the opportunity to see and hear new cutting edge DUI / OVWI defenses. I got the chance to talk about my cases with some of the best and brightest DUI / OVWI attorneys in the nation, including Bruce Kapsack out of California and Jamie Balagia out of Texas. I also got a full report of the latest legal defenses to DUI / OVWI that are being tried and won in other states.
At the end of the day, how does this help my clients? Absolutely no one is born the best at anything. Becoming the best takes time, talent and education. By giving my time and talent in furthering my legal education I ensure my clients get the absolute best possible DUI / OVWI representation in their cases.
There was only one sad part about attending this cutting edge seminar. Only two attorneys from the Indianapolis area attended this seminar. Besides myself, the only other Indianapolis area attorney was John Tompkins. That is it. Out of all the attorneys in the Indianapolis area only John Tompkins and me, Marc Lopez, attended this national seminar.
